Competition

The subject matter of the book is competition. Yet what struck me most is the idea of competition between fellow drivers.

Adam Parr asks the question blatantly;

Let’s just have a quick digression on psychological warfare between fellow drivers. How did you handle it?

Ross Brawn explains that excess competition between fellow drivers is detrimental.

I continued to ponder on the above and relate this to everyday life. Life at work, between employees can sometimes get too competitive. Hindering team spirit, and the primary motivation of working together to beat an outside enemy. It creates an “me against you” rather than an “us against them” mentality.
