Making products more human and less intimitading

When designing the new iMac in 1998, Jony Ive decided to add a handle to it. It had no function except for one: to make it more human, inviting and intuitive. This was in a time when computers where scary and people where afraid to touch them, adding a handle made them look and feel more approachable.
